Competition Recreation of Schwedenplatz

therapeutical sculptures

The SCHWEDENPLATZ becomes a continuous space on one level, which is free of barriers with an open and a sealed surface:

a waterbound open surface for an urban park - a large-sized paving for the square. A clear zoning and doubling the number of trees is supporting existing qualities of the place.

The Morzinplatz is an urban park with the quality of a reflective dialogue: "therapeutical sculptures" are placed in its middle, they are artistic interventions of UTE REEH in public space - places of direct encounter, platform of communication - mobile tongues for a dialogue.

A pavilion is placed in the centre of the park as a reference to the situation in 1874, when Vienna 's Ringstrasse was build, renewing the connotation of being a part of the Ring.
